5th of January 2009 is a memorable day for Rayhan as it is his first day in school. Rayhan's grandparents will be taking care of his daddy's sister's newborn (expected to arrive in March 09) and so will not be able to take care of Rayhan full time.
After scouting around for several different schools, we decided to send Rayhan to a school in International Business Park which is very near to our home. The principal enrolled him in the N1 class. Here are photos of Rayhan's first few days in school.
We send him by 8am and he starts the day by having breakfast in school with his nursery classmates:
Then its assembly time!!
On some mornings, the teachers will bring the kids out for a walk around IBP:
Then it's shower time where all the kids will form a choo-choo train line to the loo:
The gal in front of Rayhan is Xinyi..she is very quiet but very pretty gal with big eyes :-)
Finally reached the loo!
Rayhan and Xinyi again :-)
After shower time, it's classroom time - but not before packing their bags of clothes in their boxes:
See Rayhan's name:

Rayhan and Papa's birthday cakes
My family bought Rayhan and Rayhan's papa beautiful and delicious cakes. One is from carousel and the other one from 747 durian shop. the carousel chocolate cake has extra crunch (base is made of rice cereal) and it has slight jasmine taste. The durian cake from 747 is very rich (D24). Hmm...think for my birthday, i will request for fruit cake which is my all-time favorite.

Mid-Autumn Festive 2008
This year, i fulfilled my dream to spend a good mid-autumn festive with my family and friends. We invited our friends to our house to break fast. After tarawih prayer (at the mosque near my house), we went to the park beside the mosque and had picnic there. We had chinese iron buddha tea, all kinds of mooncakes (ice cream, mochi, teochew style, cantonese style). After feasting, we walked around the park carrying lanterns. Poor friends of mine were forced by me to walk around carrying lanterns. hahahaha
