Car show in National Stadium car park

As Daddy is fanatic about cars, he brought us to this car show in national stadium car park where there were car competition on how fast a car can springe. There one car that produced super loud and deafening 'firecracker' sound from the exhaust pipe. Wonder if Rayhan will become a car fanatic like his Daddy.

Pasar Malam Funland

This is the first time we brought Rayhan to pasar malam and let him have a try of sitting in flying helicopter. As Rayhan is still too young to sit by himself, Daddy accompanied him which is a bit small for him. See how "stone" Rayhan was. Think he didn't know what was going to happen. My husband said when the helicopter was flying, Rayhan was clinging to him tightly but didn't cry. After that trip, Rayhan will always point towards the sky and say "Aeroplane".

Happy Baby, Wink Wink

Rayhan can understand a lot of words in english and malay. Sometimes i will ask him "where's your eye?" he will squeeze hard of his eyes and wink wink. See how happy he is. He has his new hair cut by an indian barber which only costs RM5, which is equivalent to $2. So cheap!!!!

Bubble bath...

Rayhan enjoys his bath. He will take his own towel if he wants to bathe. Now i will make him sit on a plastic stool and i bathe him in the shower area. He also starts to learn brushing his teeth. This little angel of mine is growing into a fine young boy...Mommy and daddy will always love u, my baby precious Rayhan...

Cheeky boy...

Rayhan is so cute. He always surprises us with cheeky and funny act. He never fails to amuse us. See how cute he is in the adult slipper. Now whenever he wants to wear shoes, he will say "shoe shoe shoe"

My little toddler and his little luge car

Rayhan is such an adorable toddler. Now he can walk pretty steadily and his new toy is this luge car. He is such a happy boy that i hardly see him frown or sad. Always smiling and giggling. Really happy to see he is happy. Hope he will stay happy forever.

2nd CNY for Baby Rayhan

Last year Rayhan celebrated his 1st CNY but he was still an infant and didn't enjoy much from CNY. This year, Rayhan is a 16 months old toddler and he is filled with so much joy from collecting red packets, eating lo hei (CNY tossing fish salad) and new CNY clothes. I bought this CNY clothes for just $9 but it can only be worn once as there's no M size available (bought S size instead). The hat even comes with fake pig tail. The other pix shows Rayhan on the sofa @ KL Le Meridien hotel lobby (where we spent our CNY first 3 days in KL, to attend my husband's cousin's wedding). The clothes is from my mother (Rayhan's grandma) who bought 3 sets of new clothes for Rayhan. Rayhan has about > 10 sets of CNY clothes from my sisters and mother. So fortunate....

Chinese New Year 2008

Rayhan is a fortunate baby to be able to celebrate both festives from Chinese and Malay cultures. We rushed down to Bedok central to grab any nice decoration on 3rd Feb, after 9.30pm. We only have $19 cash with us and we spent it all on the decorations. With this little money, it can brighten the house with CNY festival spirit. Daddy is so excited to decorate the house with CNY decoration as he saw 2 of our neighbours decorated their coridoors with red lanterns. Daddy said he wants to decorate the house to boost CNY festival spirit all because for Mommy (i am chinese). Heehee, so sweet of daddy.

Counter set up by Daddy

Dear Rayhan's daddy set up counter for this blog to track how many people visited our blog. This counter is very cool. Even tell u how many unique visitors visited the blog. Daddy spent one hour to set up this counter. Thank you very much Daddy (^__^)/~, from Rayhan and Mommy.

Even, God's baby...

Sad sad....today i was reading this blog about a couple who posted pictures and diaries of their passed-away son, Even. Even was born with heart disease and had an operation when he was an infant. At times, he would have low blood pressure and had to go to hospital for blood transfer. He was a beautiful looking boy but very sad that when he was 8months plus old, he just stopped breathing one night and passed away. While reading the blog, i was crying and crying as if i were the mother of Even. The mother was pregnant 2nd time but the foetus stopped growing and died in the womb. Poor Even's mother had to go through 2nd blow. There are times, i will talk to Rayhan and tell him 'mommy wants to hug u, kiss u forever. When u are older as an adult, u will not want mommy to kiss u or hug u or sleep on my lap to drink milk milk'. After saying this to Rayhan, my tears will flood like open dam. Cannot imagine if Rayhan were to leave me like Even left his parents. Really sympathise the poor couple. Hope God will bless them and give them a miracle (baby) to give them hope. This picture and the caption really make me cry....so sad...the caption is "This is Even last picture before he passed away, he was resting in mommy's embrace". So sad....sob sob...want to cry again.

Rayhan Walker

Finally, Rayhan can walk without any support. Last Saturday i went back to mount e to do pad smear and brought him to visit Doc Kek (the lady doctor that delivered Rayhan). Rayhan even demonstrated a short distance walking without support. Heeheee....now everyday he's practising. Hope soon he can walk with confidence. He looks absolutely cute when he clinches his fists and walks with caution. Look very serious yet adorable. Will upload his videoclip taken by his daddy soon.

Sprained his right leg...

My poor boy sprained his right leg on the 2nd day during our taipei trip. We brought him to the Ren Ai hospital beside Taipei Howard Plaza hotel and we used his translated chinese name for registration. Despite his injuried leg, Rayhan still enjoyed his taipei trip esp. the cold weather. When we were back in Singapore, we brought him to NUH and the doctor casted his leg for precaution. See how pitiful he looked in his leg casted. His leg was casted for 1 week and after removing the cast, his leg (esp between his toes) smelled like salty preserved fish!!!

More teeth....

Finally Rayhan has more teeth growing out from his gum. Soon he will be able to eat more solid food with his complete set of teeth.

The boy with rosy cheeks

Because of the cold weather in taipei, Rayhan's cheeks turned rosy. Very cute and look like Japanese baby. Feel like pinching his rosy cheeks.

Who ate the chocolate cake? Cookie monster?

While waiting to board the plane at taipei airport, we bought some cakes and Rayhan had a taste of the chocolate frosting. See how messy he was.

Our hotel rooms

We stayed in Taipei Howard Plaza hotel and Seagaia spa hotel. The rooms are very nice. My husband likes the japanese style hotel room but the japanese mattress is a bit thin for him and caused him to have backache the next morning. We ordered room service of japanese food. Very sumptous. This room is equiped with very huge toilet which has a mini hotspring spa tube inbuilt. Very cool!!! 3 of us (Daddy, mommy and Rayhan) can squeeze into the tub.

Holiday - Taipei

We went for a short 5D4N taipei tour from 28 Dec till 1 Jan 2008. This time we brought the umbrella stroller along as Rayhan is getting heavier (12.8kg). It was winter time when we were there. Pretty cold (15 degree to 21 degree celcius). Rayhan loves the cold weather because he is scared of the heat. I managed to buy a pair of shoes, one coat, one blouse and a pair of jeans from Ximending (One of their shopping district).
