Rayhan's studio album sneak preview

After 4 rounds of amendments, this is the final draft of Rayhan's studio album. Still need a bit of minor amendment. The black line is the page divider. If we want better album binding without the page divider, need to pay extra $300 for such binding where they use for wedding album. I decided not to have it because too expensive.

Grasshopper using ketupat leaf

I've taken 2 coconut leaves from my mother-in-law where she uses them for making ketupat. I made grasshopper using the leaves. Looks very real right? When i was young, i found this dried-up coconut leaves grasshopper in between of my sister's book. She said her friend made for her. I liked it so much that i dismantled the grasshopper carefully and tried to put it back. And somemore i mastered making grasshopper using coconut leaves after few attempts. Always like to make this and give to people because this is very 'kampong' thing that brings back nostalgic feeling. And it never fails to amaze and cheer people up (of all ages, from young to old).

Hari Raya Lighting

Over last weekends, my husband and I did spring cleaning. My husband washed the toilet and cleaned the window (very very very clean) whereas i did the rest (arranging stuff, throw unwanted stuff and cleaning the kitchen etc). Now the house is clean once again. We bought new curtains and new ketupat shaped lighting from malaysia (re-used last year's hari raya's lighting too) to decorate the house. Want to create a festive environment for Rayhan so that he knows Hari Raya is here...Rayhan enjoys seeing the lights...heehee...

Birthday presents from Mommy and Dadddy

We bought Rayhan this toy car (not auto but need peddling kind) and I baked him a simple almond cream chocolate chiffon birthday cake. He still cannot peddle the car as his legs are not long enough. But he enjoys sitting in the car and moves the steering wheel like his daddy driving.

One small loving family

I never post my pix or my husband's. So time to reveal our true identity....

Rayhan was born on 30th September 2006 at 9.30pm. So we took this very photo on 30th September 2007 at 9.30pm. Heehee...our baby is one year old!!!!

Studio pix

On Rayhan's birthday, we brought him to this studio at Bukit Batok to have his very first studio shoot. They provided Japanese costumes, Korean costumes and Angel wings and also we rented rhino costume. They uploaded the pix online for us to conveniently choose select the pix we want to put in the album. I like the photos very much and they are too many nice ones to choose. So difficult to filter. Anyway, this saturday we are going back to take extra pix for 2 more costumes. So excited...heee

Happy 1st Birthday to baby Rayhan

Rayhan is finally one year old. My dad bought him this plastic rocking horse. Rayhan loves this gift and he immediately knows how to rock the horse without us teaching. My twin sister bought Rayhan polo-t and helium balloon. Also, my second sister bought the birthday cake for Rayhan. Rayhan was the king of the day (normal day, it's just my little baby, hee hee).

Umbrella Stroller from Toys'r'us

We bought this umbrella stroller for my in laws as it is more portable and easy to use. My son, Rayhan, is too heavy to be carried around for long. We also brought this for traveling as this is smaller than our combi stroller. See how big size Rayhan is in this small size stroller (^__^)/~

Daddy's homemade birthday cake

Heehee, this blog also reaches its one year old ever since i started this blog. I started this blog by uploading the birthday cake i made for my husband last year. This year, i also made a birthday cake for my husband. think my cake making skill has slightly improved. heehee...

Professional Haircut

Rayhan turns one year old on 30th September 2007. So the day before, saturday, we brought him to FORUM shopping mall's S.H.S salon to give him a proper hair cut so that he will look handsome for his birthday photoshoot. The price for kid hair cutting is only $20 but the poor stylist spent nearly an hour to finish cutting Rayhan's hair as rayhan kept moving his head. The poor stylist also cut his own finger while attempting to trim his hair behind his ears. But he still patiently cut Rayhan's hair despite the injuried and bloody finger. Rayhan looks so handsome and mature with the new hairstyle.
